HONG KONG: Cathay Pacific issued a statement revealing that eleven individuals were injured during the aborted takeoff of flight CX880 at Hong Kong's international airport. The incident occurred as a result of a technical issue. On a flight from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, which consisted of 17 crew members and 293 passengers, "an aborted takeoff was conducted in compliance with standard protocols. The decision to abort the takeoff was made by the crew after detecting a technical issue." Cathay Pacific confirmed that injuries were sustained by individuals during a precautionary evacuation conducted at the gate following the aborted takeoff.
