Shell has been with NBCUniversal for over six years and was appointed as CEO in January 2020. He previously served as the chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and was responsible for overseeing the company's movie and television studios.

Comcast Corporation has appointed Mark Lazarus, the current chairman of NBC Universal television and streaming, as the new CEO of NBC Universal. The company has expressed its confidence in Lazarus's ability to lead the company and drive growth in the future.
